His
message to Whiteboard clients and students is: "The
new millennium has witnessed the rapid growth of technological
developments including global communications systems.
In his book "Powershift" Alvin Toffler has
stated that in this movement towards the Global Economy
(Global Village) we witness a new age that is best described
as the 'Knowledge Age'. These
changes have resulted in the demand for more knowledgeable,
dynamic and flexible Business Managers able to operate
globally. There is general consensus among politicians,
business people and educationalist in many reports of
the late 1990's that have stated, that both national
and individual economic success will depend on learning
strategies that cope best with these changes. They further
specify that the first decades of the 21st century are
going to be years of 'Lifelong Learning' in which individuals
should be prepared to learn skills and change to new
careers in order to meet the new opportunities and challenges
to all".
